And the way the tools are laid out make it a bit confusing to figure out even with the tutorial. Where in the Moodboard app you can work quickly, the Adobe Photoshop Touch app takes more time to perform the actions and sometimes lags a bit while working. Unfortunately, the added tools take away from some of the functionality of the app. While these two apps may be similar this app does contain a few more features. This has very limited tools so when you do create a mood board there are some things that you just won’t be able to do.Īnother similar app to Moodboard is Adobe Photoshop Touch. When I create a mood board on the computer I’m able to add things like shapes or work with the transparencies a bit more. As far as the tools available go, there aren’t nearly as many as in some other programs. While overall I found this app easy to use and extremely useful for creating mood boards, there were a few features that were slightly lacking.
It was a quick and simple process and the more time you put into each mood board, the more professional they will look. After I had all the images I needed, I went into the Moodboard app and quickly combined all of them into these mood boards and added a bit of text. From those images I used the myPANTONE app to extract the pantone colours. The following are quick examples that I made using this Moodboard app.įor both of these mood boards I took images I found in the Heritage app. The myPANTONE app allows you to pull pantone colour swatches from an image and those colours work perfectly as swatches for a mood board. The second app that pairs well with this app is the myPANTONE app. This app provides high quality photos of locations from around the world, each of which would make a beautiful background for a mood board. This app pairs wonderfully with two other apps. It provides a quick and easy way to create simple yet elegant mood boards perfect for fashion designers. The Moodboard app is one of my top recommendations for a fashion design student.
